 What is Holy Load Balancer? |

Generally it was usual to assign several IPs to one domain name, so the services could be balanced by Round Robin. But this way did not concern the present status of each servers, and just requested in order. So the services could be in trouble, when one of the servers confront a problem.
But, HLB accept requests as a representative at the front of all other servers, and then, send the requests to the appropriate server after checking the current status of each servers.

| What kinds of Metric? |

Support Round Robin and Weighted fair. Round Robin carry low CPU burden, so one load balancer can afford more jobs. On the other hand, Weight fair check the current status of each servers, and send requests appropriately. Also Weight fair has various algorithm, and typical model is Least connection and 2~3 more. We are on the process of developing to support all of these models optionally.

| If one server has down? |
|
When one server do not reply to the HLB's check request, HLB do not send the requests to that server until the server is alive. And then HLB will balance the load to the other alive servers.

| Cache |
|
HLB has a caching function, so reduce the burden of repeated same requests. All of these process could be done in the level of memory. When this function is used, HLB should be load more, so it is your work to tune it properly.
